Dr. Chandrasiri Gannile is an accomplished corporate executive, scholar, and senior human resources strategist based in Colombo, Sri Lanka.
With more than 25 years of extensive experience directing human capital strategy in major multinational corporations and prominent national business conglomerates, Dr. Gannile has held executive management roles including Chief Human Resources Officer (CHRO) at Sri Lanka Insurance Corporation, Head of Human Resources and Administration at People’s Insurance PLC, and Head of HR & Administration at Bata Shoe Company of Ceylon Limited.
His scholarly career is defined by academic rigor. He earned his Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Business and Management from Management and Science University (MSU), Malaysia, specializing in Strategic Human Resource Management. Prior to his doctorate, he completed an MBA from the University of Kelaniya and graduated in Management from the University of Colombo.
As a dedicated educator, Dr. Gannile has served on the Senior Faculty of the Chartered Institute of Personnel Management (CIPM) Sri Lanka continuously since 1997. In 2015, he was awarded the prestigious Senior Faculty Member Award for his instrumental contributions to HRM curriculum development and professional training.
